HRV or ERV?
An HRV swaps stale indoor air for fresh outdoor air and keeps most of the heat. An ERV also balances moisture, which suits homes that feel too dry in winter or too humid in summer. Window condensation or stuffy rooms? An HRV is usually the answer.

We had pleasant experience with Mr. Heating and Home. They installed a heat pump, electrical furnace, thermostat and a new electrical panel. Everything went smooth. No complaints. They laid down a red carpet and were respectful, professional.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an HRV cost installed?
Heat recovery ventilators are installed from $3,495, including standard installation. ERVs are quoted to your home.
What is an HRV and do I need one?
A heat recovery ventilator exhausts stale air and brings in fresh air, pre-warming it with the outgoing heat. If you see window condensation, lingering odours or stuffy rooms, an HRV helps.
What's the difference between an HRV and an ERV?
Both bring in fresh air and recover heat. An ERV also transfers moisture, so it helps homes that feel too dry in winter or too humid in summer.

Own it, don't rent it
Why pay rent on a water heater forever?
Rental plans can cost far more than the heater over their lifetime. Buy it installed, own it outright and keep the full manufacturer's warranty.
